Game Recap: Krylia Sovetov - SKA

OCT.8 -- Ruslan Bernikov scored twice and added an assists to lead Krylia Sovetov to a 4-3 win over their bottom-of-standings neighbors St. Petersburg SKA.
   Dmitry Shandurov scored the decisive goal at 11:09 of the third period. Egor Bashkatov restored the intrigue at 17:16 with a beautiful wrister to the top corner right of the face-off. Unfortunately for the visitors they couldn't solve KS goalie Alexei Yegorov in the remaining minutes despite strong pressure.
   "We as well as our opponents needed points badly out of this contest. We made some poor decisions in our end and on special teams and that cost us points. Moreover we've lost two of our key players (Andrei Shurupov and Andrei Galushkin) to injuries in this game," - said SKA head coach Boris Mikhailov.
   Prevailing in this "battle of lambs" Wings left the relegation zone for the first time in a few weeks.
